Winner's Circle 6/9/2014
Everyone's a winner at the Winner's Circle Charities Invitational hosted by Mike Schmidt and HMY Yachts.
In 2001, Philadelphia Phillies Hall of Fame third baseman, Mike Schmidt became intimately involved with a family who lost their 22 year-old son, Brett Weinstein, to cystic fibrosis. To honor his memory and bring public awareness to the insidious disease, Mike with several of his close associates created this fishing tournament. Since then they have raised over $1.5 million toward research that will hopefully add many tomorrows to over 30,000 afflicted children and adults in the United States. Just participating in this event makes you a winner.

In addition to the winning feeling of being involved and participating in such a wonderful event that gives back, there are quite a few Viking's that have a competitive spirit that landed them on the leaderboard. Newcomer to the Winner's Circle, John Gray fishing aboard his Viking 76 Dream Chaser claimed Second Place Boat and with a 48.6 pound fish claimed First Place Tuna.

A seasoned veteran at the Winner's Circle, Mike Viola and his crew on the Viking 45 Pandemonium claimed Third Place Boat. A blue marlin and four sailfish releases earned Schumacher Top Billfish Angler. Chuck was fishing on the Viking 68 Roulette.

John Wolf's Viking 64 Sea Wolf landed a 49.5 pound dolphin to win the category. Intents', Alan Sadler's Viking 62 claimed Second Place Wahoo. The First Slam of the Tournament went to Frank Devlin and the crew on the Viking 48 Four Reel.
